Our Family Learning Adventure: Beluga Whales adventure is designed for families who value cultural teachings and the bonding experiences that come with traveling together. Imagine splashing alongside curious beluga whales and listening to their songs as a family, as well as searching for polar bears and seeing the seasonal bloom of native plants and flora in addition to popular family activities. 

The itinerary of this adventure is full of activities that your kids are sure to enjoy, including dog carting, a Tundra Buggy® adventure to view wildlife, exploring the historic Prince of Wales Fort, and more.

Churchill Adventure Begins

Morning flight to Churchill; Beluga kayak or stand-up paddle board excursion; Overnight at Churchill hotel.

KAYAK WITH BELUGAS

Paddle alongside beluga whales in your choice of a single or tandem kayak. This unique experience offers an up-close and intimate encounter with these curious marine mammals.

BELUGA EXCURSION OPTIONS

If kayaking or paddle boarding feels too adventurous, you and your little ones can opt for a Zodiac boat, offering a safe and comfortable way to enjoy up-close beluga whale viewing.

SEE THOUSANDS OF BELUGAS

Each summer, 3,000–4,000 beluga whales gather in the Churchill River, raising their young and feeding in its shallow, sheltered waters.

A guided bus tour of Churchill’s most notable sites, including the Polar Bear Holding Facility.

On a Transport Canada approved vessel, discover hundreds of beluga whales in the mouth of the Churchill River. Then, across the river, a Parks Canada guided tour of Prince of Wales Fort National Historic Site of Canada; the oldest, most northerly stone fort in Canada.
