Our Belugas, Bears, and Blooms adventure is a comprehensive Churchill experience seeking out beluga whales, polar bears, and seasonal native plants and flora alongside popular activities. Travel to the Beluga Whale Capital of the World and surround yourself with hundreds of curious cetaceans on this unique adventure to Canada’s North.
Head out onto the Churchill River Estuary on a Zodiac to view Churchill's beluga whales in their natural habitat, that are known for their friendly nature and may even come by for a up close visit. Continue the adventure by exploring the historic Prince of Wales Fort, dog carting through the boreal forest, and venturing into the Churchill Wildlife Management Area (CWMA) on a Tundra Buggy® to look for other subarctic wildlife. While on land, enjoy the view as the surrounding tundra landscape erupts into colourful summer blooms alongside the Hudson Bay, but keep your eyes peeled as you may even have the opportunity to see a polar bear.
While in town, learn about the history of Churchill and indulge in the culture by exploring cultural museums, unique shops, and local restaurants boasting delicious regional cuisine.

What to Expect:
Frequently Asked Questions
We have Belugas, Bears and Blooms departures available throughout July and August. This aligns with the annual beluga whale migration and the blooming of the tundra flora.
This adventure is hotel-based! All properties include basic amenities, are clean and comfortable, and feature private restrooms. Rooms are typically furnished with two queen or two double beds.
Activities involve moderate physical exertion, such as walking on uneven terrain and getting on and off boats. A reasonable level of mobility will enhance your enjoyment of the trip.
